JVC MC8000 Series DVD Libries
The JVC MC8000 Series DVD Libraries offer transparent network archiving to DVD-R or DVD-RAM on a wide range of server and workstation platforms.
Within the library, the discs are handled in trays, ensuring class one failures through robotics miss-handling is kept to a minimum.
The JVC unique ‘flipper’ mechanism allows the use of double sided DVD media, without the loss of any slot capacity, and while moving the disc from its slot to the drive.
Bulk loading of CDs via 50 slot magazines is available, as too is a mail slot for loading single discs into the system.
With applications such as COLD and archiving of data the ability to identify a set of media within the library is critical, now using the JVC MC8000 series libraries this function has become transparent, and fully automated.
The MC8000 series has a range of three capacities, the 100 slot (470GB single sided) 200 slot (1.8TB double sided) and the 600 slot (5.6TB double sided). The 100 slot library can support four drives on up to two SCSI busses, while the 200 and 600 slot libraries can support up to six drives on up to three SCSI busses. LVD SCSI is an option on all libraries.
The optional printer within the library is dependant upon printable surface CDR ro DVD-R media, and is able to print at 700 DPI in monochrome, or full colour, via Windows NT printer drivers.
