AIT Autoloaders are powerful tape automation solutions, combining robust
architecture with the inherent advantages of AIT tape technology. A small
footprintwith high storage density, and rapid time-to-data, autoloaders meet the
requirements of critical data storage applications. The V15 supports 15
cartridges, one or two drives, and offers 1.5TB native capacity at 43GB/hour
throughput per drive. The V30 supports 30 cartridges, one to four drives, and
offers 3.0TB native capacity at 43GB to 172GB/hour throughput depending on the
number of drives. Both support an optional bar code reader, ethernet connection
for remote management, standalone or rack mount installation, and come with a
3-year express exchange warranty.AIT (Advanced
Intelligent Tape) tape technology ensures the utmost in reliability to meet the
rigorous demands of unattended backup and high recall archive environments. In
addition, AIT is suited to a wide range of applications, including
image/multimedia storage and retrieval, real-time data acquisition,
transportable storage, and storage management applications.
AIT-3 provides a
throughput of 12 MB/sec (31.2MB/sec with compression**) and a high capacity per
cartridge at 100GB (260GB with compression**) in a very compact form
factor.
The AIT-3 drive is
multi-functional and supports both standard AIT and WORM formats.
The MIC (Memory-In
Cassette) chip contains key parameters such as a tape log, search map, and
application information that allow flexible multi-point loading and management
of the media and its contents. For the user this means fast media load times and
high-speed access to customer data.
