Magneto-optical
storage is used where long-term storage is desired. The main advantages are its
long archive life, portability and durability. Random access speeds are high,
and the media life is rated to last more than 30 years. This technology offers
both WORM (Write Once Read Many) format using CCW (Continuous Composite WORM)
technology or rewritable technology. Plasmon’s M-Series products set benchmarks
in reliability and speed. With more than 2,800,000 MSBF (Mean Swaps Between
Failure) complete disk exchange times as low as 4.3 seconds and sustained
transfer rates of up to 6MB per second, the M-Series equips you to manage
increasing data-flow demand quickly and cost-effectively, giving you absolute

Plasmon offers a flexible on-site
maintenance programme to deliver ‘On-Site Service’ for all M-Series libraryes.
The standard service is included with the sale of M-Series libraryes in
specified territories (not Middle East or Asia & Pacific) and carried out by
a fully qualified engineer. Plasmon offers the customer the option to purchase
upgrades to faster and extended levels of service, including 24 hour cover with
4 hour response times for 1 or 3 years. |
