HARD DISC COPIERS
OptoMedia produce a range of hard disk drive copiers that are ideal for duplication of both operating systems for PC builders, and application and data sets for corporate PC networks. With automatic complementary partition scaling (enabling different sized source drives to destination drives to be copied) the copiers are available in both EIDE and SCSI II interfaces.
Operation of all models is simple, prepare the source drive with the required operating system, applications software and data. Test the drive and installed components, once tested load onto the copier controller channel and then load the required number of destination hard disk drives (up to 11 depending on model).
Press the start button. And the copier begins the process of copying all the data and partitions from the source hard disk to the destination drives. Options include verify, full copy, quick copy, and format. Enabling simple consistant copying of hard disk drives of all sizes and capacities. Including 2.5", 3.5" and 5.25" drives.
A SCSI II differential model is also available.
Single-target stand-alone IDE-bus or SCSI-bus hard drive duplicator
Available for many known systems and formats, such as Windows NT, Windows 95 (FAT16 or FAT32), MS-DOS, IBM OS/2 Warp, NEC, Unix/Xenix, Novell Netware, etc., compact design and easy to operate.
The Quantum bigfoot 5.25" hard drive, desktop 3.5" hard drive and notebook-size 2.5" hard drive duplicating capability are all supported.
Maximum bus transfer rate up to 220MB/min (tested on Quantum Fireball 1.2GB HDD) but the speed will vary on different HDDs. Or 20MB/sec on SCSI II interface.
Modular design for operation: Quick copy, Full copy and compare function can be selected according to user's requirement from front panel button.
LBA spec. compliances to break 528MB DOS limitation (EIDE)
Capability of duplicating non-DOS partition and multi-partition.
For FAT system, different hard drive either in capacity, brand or model can be duplicated for data.
PIO mode supported for Mode 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or auto-identify. Latest spec. can be upgraded easily.

Five and Eleven-target stand-alone IDE-bus hard drive duplicator
Available for many known systems and formats, such as Windows NT, Windows 95 (FAT16 or FAT32), MS-DOS, IBM OS/2 Warp, NEC, Unix/Xenix, Novell Netware, etc., compact design and easy to operate. The Quantum bigfoot 5.25" hard drive, desktop 3.5" hard drive and notebook-size 2.5" hard drive duplicating capability are all supported.
Power control: Power outputs during operation only.
A save envirement for install and un-install the HDDs with machine.
Resetable fuse design offers a best protection on HDD.
Maximum bus transfer rate up to 280MB/min (tested on Quantum Fireball 1.2GB HDD) but the speed will vary on different HDDs.
Concurrent copy process for each target hard drive.
Module design for operation: Quick copy, Full Copy, Compare and even the diagnostic function can be selected according to user's requirement. LBA spec. compliances to break 528MB DOS limitation.
Capability of duplicating non-DOS partition and multi-partition.
For FAT or NTFS system, different hard drives either in capacity, brand or model can be duplicated for data simultaneously.
PIO mode supported for Mode 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or auto-identify. Latest spec. can be upgraded easily.
Information of duplication can be monitored on PC through the RS-232C connection.

Five-target stand-alone single-ended SCSI-bus hard drive duplicator
Available for many known systems and formats, such as Windows NT, Windows 95 (FAT16 or FAT32), MS-DOS, IBM OS/2 Warp, NEC, Unix/Xenix, Novell Netware, etc., compact design and easy to operate.
Support up to ultra SCSI specification (SCSI-I, SCSI-II and SCSI-III) which can reach 20 MB/sec. maximum bus transfer rate but the speed will vary on different HDDs. Module design for operation: Quick copy, full copy and compare functions can be selected according to user's requirement from front panel button.
Capable of duplicating multi-partition configuration.
Handle different hard drives either in capacity, brand or model.
Handle either narrow or wide SCSI hard drive.
(Wide SCSI need optional 50-68 pin adapter)
